ACTION ALERT:

ALERT: While President Trump has not yet “torn up” the Iran deal, the White House did add new sanctions against Iran this week because of its ICBM development, support of terrorism and human rights violations. Meanwhile, Congress is considering more sanctions against Iran (see article at: http://www.weeklystandard.com/obama-officials-working-to-derail-new-iran-sanctions/article/2008063) But as the article notes, there are forces trying to thwart Congress’ efforts.

ACTION: 

Please contact each of your senators and your House member. You can find the contact information at senate.gov and house.gov respectively. Ask to speak with a legislative assistant. Get the staffer’s name. Tell him or her that you want Senator ______ or Representative ________ to co-sponsor and vote for more sanctions against Iran since Iran threatens America, our troops in the Middle East, and our allies. Please encourage your friends, family and media contacts to do likewise.

Please note: You will have an opportunity to speak to Congress directly in fewer than three weeks when you join us for ZOA’s Pro-Israel Capitol Hill Mission. It is vital that as many people as possible participate in this mission. More than 60 people from our region are already registered. Thank you to those already on board.

There is still time for others to sign up for the Mission, and still seats remaining on our buses. Greater Philadelphia ZOA will pay for the bus for any student who wants to attend. It is a great learning experience.

There will be bus pickups from Northeast Philadelphia, Center City and Merion Station. Please take advantage of this chance to speak to and hear from members of Congress. The ZOA Mission is always a satisfying and uplifting experience!

Greater Philadelphia ZOA is looking for volunteers to help out at our table during the Bucks County Jewish-Israel Festival taking place on Sunday, June 4, at Bucks County Community College, 275 Swamp Rd., Newtown. We will need volunteers between 9:30 am and 2:30 p.m. If you can help for all or part of this period, please call our Office at 610-660-9466 or email us at office@zoaphilly.org.
Volunteers will help give out literature, encourage people to sign up for our email list and describe what ZOA does to festival attendees who visit our table.
