We hope that you and your loved ones are healthy, and we wish you safety in light of this weekend’s expected deep freeze and perhaps more snow.

It may be difficult to believe, but after all of the anti-Jewish activity that has followed the slaughter of 1,200 Israelis by Palestinian-Arabs on October 7, 2023, plus the kidnappings/hostage taking; and with a not-disarmed Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) still wielding power in some of the Gaza Strip; as well as the Palestinian Authority’s continuing “pay to slay” and continued teaching of Jew-hatred and violence; as well as recent polling showing that Hamas and violence against Jews continue to have substantial support among Palestinian-Arabs – that there are still local Jewish groups and institutions that support a so-called Palestinian state, and that would platform and host an event with a proponent of such a state.

And so Greater Philadelphia ZOA sent our Information Ambulance to the Weitzman Museum of American Jewish History last night — where the museum, the ADL and JCRC were scheduled to be entertaining the goals and agenda of “Palestinian” activist Ahmed Fouad Alkhatib, a Saudi by birth who was denied entry into Israel by the government because of his activities – to make sure attendees of the event saw that rational Jewish groups including ZOA believe that a “Palestinian” state must be out of the question.

That Alkhatib is a critic of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) is irrelevant. A so-called Palestinian state in Judea and Samaria, the Gaza Strip and Jerusalem would force some 600,000 Jews to be removed from their homes, synagogues and businesses/workplaces; it would place 7.5 million Jews in even greater danger as such a state would control high ground as well as underground aquifers with no real guarantee that so-called “moderates” would be in control (after all, Hamas was democratically elected); and it would reward slaughter, rape, kidnapping and the uncountable number of Oslo violations committed by the Palestinian-Arabs.

The truth and the facts matter. Few groups outside of ZOA are willing to state these hard truths; remind the community of the past; and inform the community that those who may appear to be a friend or a “sheep” is actually a “wolf” using different, non-hateful terms perhaps, but wanting the same objectives as the PLO and Hamas.

Willingly or willfully – or not — you are a participant in a war. Typically, you are a target in this war if you are Jewish and/or are pro-Israel. Our executive director, Steve Feldman, will have a conversation with leading Israeli strategist and expert on the Information War Jeffrey Kahn. Meanwhile, we do not have to be victims or pawns in this war. Each week in this spot in our newsletter, we encourage you to use advocacy/activism in order to be a “soldier” in the information war. It is being waged against us – we might as well as fight back!
